LAWRENCE BROWN, shown in the main library, is a third-year PhD student in Public Administration. “My research so far has involved diversity in public bureaucracies—with a focus on the U.S. Federal Government. I’ve been looking at how different policies and practices affect the representation of women and people of color in federal agencies. I want to pay e specially close attention to how those policies affect the representation of women and people of color in leadership positions.”
