Greetings from beautiful Athens where spring has sprung, flowers are blooming, skies are blue, and pollen is plentiful! We hope this edition of the magazine will add additional light to your life, as you emerge from the darkness of winter.

As always, the magazine is filled with inspiring stories of students who have overcome hardships, faced their fears and anxieties, and traveled tremendous distances to study here at UGA. Each of these individuals has a unique story that has inspired them to pursue graduate studies and ultimately change the world. After you have read these stories, I hope—like me—you will feel more confident that our planet, fellow humans, and future are in good hands and that UGA graduate alumni are leading our progression to a better and brighter future.
