Brian Williams Likes to stay fighting fit.

Williams is the associate director of facilities at the University of Georgia. He has worked in the Ramsey Center since 2006 when he earned a graduate degree in exercise science. When stress goes up, he hits the gym and discharges his stresses with a little time in the ring.

Nothing relieves stress like punching a bag, he says. “You hit a bag, and your confidence level goes up.”

Williams grew up studying martial arts. “I was very disciplined and respectful.” He firmly adheres to the idea of a healthy mind/body connection. “You have to respect yourself,” he says. “You can’t eat badly, or treat yourself badly, and come in and box.”
